Police: Bridgeport Suspect In Attempted Murder-Suicide Has Died

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- A 53-year-old Bridgeport man, who authorities believe tried to kill his wife and himself in a murder-suicide shooting early Friday while at home with the couple's daughter, has died, according to the Connecticut Post.

Wilson Ripoli died from what police believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head that occurred after his wife was shot in the head. His wife is still hospitalized but has recovered enough to communicate, the Connecticut Post said.

The 4-year-old daughter is being cared for by family as police continue to investigate, the Connecticut Post reported.
